Job title: Assistant Warehouse Manager

Warehouse Operations
- Assist in managing daily warehouse operations to ensure safe, efficient, and accurate inventory handling.
- Supervise warehouse staff and allocate daily tasks to meet operational requirements.
- Plan and optimize warehouse layout, storage utilization, and material flow to maximize space and productivity.
- Ensure timely receiving, storage, picking, dispatch, and documentation of materials.
- Verify warehouse transactions, including Goods Receipt Notes (GRN), Goods Dispatch Notes (GDN), Stock Request Notes (SRN), and inventory movements.
- Monitor warehouse housekeeping and ensure compliance with health, safety, and security standards.
Inventory Management
- Monitor inventory accuracy through regular stock verification and cycle counts.
- Lead monthly and quarterly stock counts and support annual physical inventory.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and prepare stock reconciliation adjustments.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with Procurement to maintain optimal inventory and prevent stock shortages.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, bin cards, and inventory tracking reports.
Logistics & Transportation
- Coordinate secondary transportation activities to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.
- Obtain quotations, evaluate vendors, and prepare cost comparisons for transportation services.
- Monitor transportation costs and prepare periodic logistics reports.
Warehouse Administration
- Prepare monthly warehouse reports, including closing stock, inventory movement, and operational KPIs.
- Prepare warehouse expense forecasts, budgets, and payment requests.
- Coordinate warehouse documentation and maintain accurate operational records.
Compliance & Audit
- Coordinate internal and external warehouse audits and provide supporting documentation.
- Prepare stock reconciliation reports and resolve audit findings.
- Coordinate the renewal of warehouse-related licenses, permits, fire safety certificates, and other statutory requirements.
- Ensure warehouse operations comply with company policies, regulatory requirements, and inventory control procedures.
Leadership & Continuous Improvement
- Train, coach, and supervise warehouse personnel to improve performance and compliance.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance warehouse efficiency, inventory accuracy, and cost control.
- Support Warehouse Manager in strategic initiatives, projects, budgeting, and operational planning.
- Perform other duties and special projects assigned by management.
Job Specification
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
Experience Required:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in warehouse operations including at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
Desirable Skills and Attributes:
- Strong knowledge of warehouse procedures, inventory control, and safety standards.
- Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Intermediate English skills in four areas: Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
