Position Summary: The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the Finance and Accounting, ensuring efficient financial operations, accurate reporting, and compliance with regulations.

 

Job Profile

  1. Financial Management
    • Lead and support financial planning processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial modeling.
    • Monitor financial performance against approved budgets and provide timely management reports with meaningful analysis and recommendations.
    • Oversee project costing and financial reporting for solar energy service projects, ensuring accurate cost allocation, margin analysis, revenue recognition, and project profitability tracking.
    • Provide financial insights and cost control recommendations to support project efficiency and strategic decision-making.
    • Serve as the authority for reviewing and approving all outgoing payments.
    • Review invoices and expense reports to ensure accuracy, proper authorization, and compliance with company policies.
    • Assess financial documentation to identify discrepancies, errors, or potential fraud.
    • Collaborate with department heads and stakeholders to resolve financial and payment-related issues.
    • Maintain and strengthen internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks.
    • Provide guidance and leadership to the finance team on financial processes, compliance standards, and internal control best practices.
    • Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices impacting financial management.

 

  1. Accounting Oversight & Compliance
    • Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, inventory management, and financial reporting.
    • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP or applicable accounting standards.
    • Manage inventory costing processes, including standard costing, variance analysis, stock reconciliation, and periodic inventory valuation to ensure accuracy and proper cost allocation.
    • Oversee physical inventory counts and ensure discrepancies are properly investigated and resolved.
    • Manage and maintain the fixed asset register, ensuring accurate capitalization, depreciation, impairment assessments, disposals, and reconciliations, with strong expertise in telecom fixed asset accounting, including network infrastructure, towers, equipment capitalization, and project cost allocation.
    • Oversee lease accounting in compliance with IFRS 16, including recognition and measurement of Right-of-Use (ROU) assets and lease liabilities.
    • Oversee and timely submission of IRD-related reports, tax filings, and statutory returns in full compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Lead and coordinate external audits, serving as primary liaison with auditors.
    • Ensure timely issuance of audited financial statements and management reports, with full ownership of audit deliverables and prompt closure of audit findings.

 

Job Specification

Qualification:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Finance, Economics, ACCA part II is preferable.

 

Experience Required:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Management position.
  • Strong track record of project experience, data analytics, leadership and financial skills

  • Proficient in accounting software, MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Power-point and advance MS Excel skill
