Position:                        Information Systems Manager

Base location:              The Campus, Yangon

Report to:                      General Manager

 

Role Summary

The Information Systems Manager’s role oversees the development, implementation, integration, maintenance, and continuous improvement of business systems and digital solutions. The manager works closely with business functions to identify opportunities for process improvement and digitalization, translates business requirements into technology solutions, and leads the IS team to deliver reliable, secure, scalable and user-focused systems.

 

Job Profile:

IS Strategy, Governance and Planning

  • Develop and implement the company’s Information Systems strategy aligned with the business objectives.
  • Establish IS priorities, roadmap, standards, policies, and governance frameworks.
  • Identify opportunities for system improvement, integration, automation, and digitalization.
  • Manage the IS budget, resources, technology investments and key risks.
  • Advise management on emerging technologies and their potential business applications.

Digitalization and Solution Development

  • Manage key systems such as ERP, PowerApps-based applications, KPI/reporting systems, RMS, and other digital solutions.
  • Lead the development of workflow automation and digital solutions.
  • Explore AI and emerging technologies to improve productivity, decision-making and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure systems are reliable, user-friendly, scalable, and aligned with business requirements.
  • Engage with department heads and key users to understand business requirements and pain points.
  • Translate business requirements into functional and technical requirements.
  • Oversee the development and enhancement of management dashboards, automated reports, and business analytics.
  • Promote data-driven decision-making across departments.

 

Information Security, Risk and System Management

  • Establish and maintain appropriate information security, access controls and system management practices.
  • Monitor system vulnerabilities, access controls, data protection, and cybersecurity risks.

 

IS Project and Vendor Management

  • Lead and oversee IS projects from planning and requirements through implementation and review.
  • Manage external technology vendors, consultants, software providers, and implementation partners.
  • Evaluate technology solutions and vendor proposals based on functionality, cost, scalability, security, and business value.
  • Monitor vendor performance and ensure agreed deliverables are achieved.
  • Coordinate timely resolution of critical system and project issues.

Team Leadership and Stakeholder Engagement

  • Lead, manage, and develop the Information Systems team.
  • Set clear objectives, responsibilities, priorities, and KPIs for team members.
  • Develop team capabilities in systems, data, automation, and emerging technologies.
  • Act as the key liaison between business functions and the IS team.
  • Ensure IS initiatives are aligned with business needs and priorities.

 

Job Specification

Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline

 

Preferred Experience:

  • 8+ years of relevant experience in information systems, IT, business applications, digital transformation, system analysis, or related fields.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a managerial role is preferred.
  • Experience managing business applications, ERP, workflow automation, data/reporting systems, or digital transformation projects.
  • Experience working with cross-functional business teams and external technology vendors.

 

Desirable Personal Skills & Attributes:

  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
  • Strong understanding of business process analysis, digitalization, automation, AI, and emerging technologies.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills in both Myanmar and English.
  • Adaptable and willing to support ad-hoc tasks and organizational priorities as required.
