Reporting to: Assistant Procurement & Logistics Manager
Job Profile
1.Procurement Management:
- Source, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers/vendors, especially from Chinese markets.
- Obtain competitive quotes and negotiate terms, pricing, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
- Monitor procurement schedules to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
2.Technical Evaluation:
- Basic Technical Parameter Knowledge about the Power Equipment like Battery, PV and Inverters.
- Basic understanding of Electrical and electronic devices such as transformers, generators and communication devices such as Modems, routers-Collaborate with technical teams during RFP discussions, ensuring clarity and alignment on requirements.
3.Supplier Relations
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with Chinese-speaking suppliers.
- Resolve supplier-related issues, including quality concerns and shipment delays.
- Conduct periodic supplier performance evaluations.
4.Documentation and Compliance:
- Prepare and process purchase orders, contracts, and payment requests accurately.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and legal requirements.
- Translate and interpret Chinese documents or communications as needed.
5.Market Analysis and Cost Optimization:
- Conduct market research to identify trends, new products, and potential suppliers in markets.
- Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.
Qualification:
- Any Bachelor’s degree
Experience Required:
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the solar or renewable energy industry.
Desirable Skills and Attributes:
- Fluency in Chinese (Mandarin) and English (spoken and written).
- Basic knowledge of technical parameters related to power equipment like batteries, PV panels, and inverters.
