Position: Project Associate
Report to: Assistant Site Acquisition Manager
Job Profile
Site Acquisition
- Identify potential solar sites and conduct preliminary feasibility assessments using YMP SAR/TSSR survery forms
- Perform detailed site surveys and collect required technical data
- Prepare SAR/TSSR reports with photos, drawings, and key findings
- Lead negotiations on:
- Lease terms and pricing
- Land use rights, Right of Way use and access conditions
- Build and maintain strong relationships with landowners or building owners
- Liaise with ward administrators and local authorities to secure necessary consents
- Coordinate and submit required documents at relevant township offices for build permit, other way use, and follow up for approvals
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and administrative requirements
- Track approval status and follow up with relevant authorities
- Support project timelines by ensuring timely site acquisition and approvals
Project Coordination and Implementation Support
- Coordinate project handover from Site Acquisition team to Implementation team
- Support planning and implementation of solar microgrid systems for telecom and community sites
- Coordinate with engineers, vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders during project execution
- Supervise site installation activities and assist engineers during system installation and commissioning
- Monitor installation progress, report project status, issues and risks
- Conduct basic site inspections and assist in testing and commissioning activities
- Support site QHSE compliance and ensure safety standards are followed
- Maintain project documentation, reports and implementation records
- Assist in resolving site issues and support smooth project execution until completion
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Number of viable sites identified and secured
- Time taken from site identification to agreement signing
- Cost efficiency of negotiated lease agreements
- Success rate of permit approvals
- Compliance with regulatory requirements
- Timely project handover and implementation support
- Installation completion within planned timeline
- Quality and accuracy of project documentation
Job Specification
Qualifications
- Any graduates or candidates with relevant working experience
Preferred Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in site acquisition and/or project implemention in telecom and solar projects
- Experience dealing with government offices and local authorities is highly preferred
- Experience in site supervision or prpject coordination is an advantage
- Familiarity with local administrative procedures is a strong advantage
