Position: QHSE Engineer
Base Location: The Campus, Yangon
Report to: Assistant QHSE & PMO Manager
Job Profile:
- Mitigate the environmental and social risks in the company’s projects
- Arrange PPE requirements for YMP employees on time
- Conduct firefighting, installation and QHSE trainings (on-site/online) to both YMP employees and contractors when required
- Maintain a healthy and safe working environment with Zero LTI (Lost Time to Injury)
- Monitor and supervise the contractors and YMP Engineers to ensure quality installation and maintenance of all projects
- Review daily log sheet, toolbox meeting and HSE checklist submitted by the installation teams
- Make the quality inspections on production and SOP at the partners’ factories, site installation and follow up for the punch points rectification as necessary
- Prepare Site/Partner/Engineer Quality Index Checklist based on site completion status
- Act on securing Electrical Hazard Safety Certificate (EHSC) by coordinating with the relevant Government departments
- Record every activity regarding monthly E&S, CSR, health and safety
- Investigate Theft/Lost/Damage and Incident/Accident cases and prepare the detailed reports for the management
- Collect and review monthly quality checklists of every single site and follow up to O&M team for the necessary rectifications
- Assist the manager in gathering the required data on environmental and social impact to prepare semi-annual and annual reports for the shareholders
- Any ad-hoc assigned by the manager
Job Specification
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
Preferred Experience:
- Familiarity with occupational health, safety, and environmental standards and regulations; QHSE certification is a plus.
- Knowledge and experience with electrical components/materials, such as solar panels, inverters, and batteries
