Position Summary
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for managing and overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient, accurate, and safe receipt, storage, and dispatch of materials. This role requires maintaining inventory accuracy, enforcing safety and quality standards, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and leading warehouse staff to achieve productivity and operational targets. The Warehouse Supervisor also plays a key role in implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain workplace morale.
Job Profile
Operational Management
- Monitor inbound and outbound processes for accuracy, quality, and timeliness.
- Oversee receiving, warehousing, storage, distribution, and maintenance of materials.
- Ensure proper documentation of all stock movements in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Plan and arrange warehouse space optimization for efficient storage and retrieval.
- Conduct daily warehouse inspections to ensure cleanliness, orderliness, and compliance with company standards.
Inventory Control
- Maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors for stock counts and reconciliation.
Staff Supervision & Training
- Supervise warehouse staff, assign daily tasks, and monitor performance.
- Provide coaching, training, and feedback to improve team skills and efficiency.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, QHSE standards, and operational procedures.
Job Specification
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
Experience Required:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in warehouse operations (more prepared for utilities and telecom industries), including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
Desirable Skills and Attributes:
- Strong knowledge of warehouse procedures, inventory control, and safety standards.
- Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Intermediate English skills in four areas: Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
